Dan Davies got his start in water damage mitigation in the San Francisco Bay Area before coming home to Utah and founding Water Damage Specialists in 2007. Nineteen years and thousands of homes later, we're still family owned and operated — an IICRC certified firm serving the Greater Salt Lake, Utah County, and Park City/Heber areas with one honest crew that handles both the plumbing and the restoration.

Dan Davies
President & Founder
Dan began his career in the San Francisco Bay Area mitigation industry before coming home to Utah to launch Water Damage Specialists in 2007. Nearly two decades later, he's still a hands-on owner committed to high-quality service and honest work. Dan lives in Utah with his wife and four children, and spends his free time helping coach his daughter's travel softball team.
Robert Hortin
General Manager
Rob spent 15 years as a property manager overseeing condominiums and HOAs — more than 100 units — where he dealt with plenty of floods and was a Water Damage Specialists customer for 14 years before joining the team. He knows exactly what it's like to be on your side of the phone call. Off the clock, Rob enjoys camping and fishing with his wife and two dogs — and every December he bleaches his beard to play Santa at local high school concerts and family events.
Devin Deswert
Plumbing & HVAC Service Manager
An Oregon native and Army veteran, Devin has called Salt Lake home for 14 years. He brings 12 years in the plumbing and HVAC industry plus 16 years of landlord experience, in state and out — so he's seen every kind of plumbing problem from both sides. Devin is married with four stepkids and one of his own, two dogs, and a jumping spider. He enjoys skiing, paddle boarding, and checking out new restaurants around town with his wife.
